Arkansas Provisionally Licensed and Intern Therapist Support Group
The Arkansas Provisionally Licensed and Intern Therapist Support Group was created in 2019 out of a need for professionals that were in the process of licensure to gain a similar community. This inclusive group only admits counselors and social workers in the process of gaining their terminal license. In doing this, we are able to work together to find solutions, share materials, and create resources specific to the stage in our careers. As the owner of this group, I work with the members by providing updated information on supervisors in the state, job openings, internship opportunities, study materials, and worksheets for clients.

1. This group is for associate or master level counselors only (LAC, LAMFT, PLMSW, LMSW, Graduate Level Interns)! We are here to support each other as we figure out the change from graduate school to professional careers. If you are terminally licensed, you will not be added to the group.
2. Spam and irrelevant links aren't allowed. Selling items is not allowed. We strive to provide multiple free resources. Our licenses aren’t cheap - let’s use this group to share free and accessible resources! If you want to give away a resource, please ask an admin for approval or email info@beccafergusonlpc.com
3. Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.
4. Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What's shared in the group should stay in the group. Part of being a counselor is seeking consultation. We ask that all client information is kept completely anonymous to respect their rights protected under HIPAA. Any posts with identifying information will be removed and members will be suspended. If you are unsure - message an admin or moderator.
5. We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

Currently, our group is only admitting provisionally licensed counselors, social workers, and master level interns. We keep this group closed so it is a safe space for our members to ask questions specifically to their license.
